Certification Process
The IVEXSI certification process is designed to ensure technical rigor, institutional neutrality and professional accountability.
Certification validates conformity with IVEXSI normative frameworks, not professional licensing, project approval or execution capability.
IVEXSI certification is:
-
document-based;
-
criteria-driven;
-
independent of commercial interests;
-
non-automatic and non-guaranteed.
Certification is granted only when all institutional criteria are demonstrably met.
Step 1 — Application Submission
The candidate submits a formal application including:
-
proof of eligibility;
-
professional identification and registration;
-
declaration of understanding of certification scope and limits.
Incomplete applications are not evaluated.
Step 2 — Planning Dossier Submission
Eligible candidates must submit a Planning Dossier, containing documented evidence of their ability to apply IVEXSI planning and decision frameworks.
The dossier must demonstrate:
-
assessment of the existing building context;
-
application of admissibility criteria;
-
structured decision-making (go / no-go);
-
identification of risks and limits;
-
clear allocation of professional responsibility.
The dossier must reflect decision-level reasoning, not design or execution activities.
Step 3 — Normative Evaluation
The submitted documentation is evaluated against applicable IVEXSI standards, including:
-
ST 2000 — Technical Assessment of Existing Buildings;
-
ST 3000 — Decision Framework;
-
ST 4000 — Risk, Safety and Responsibility;
-
ST 6000 — Planning and Urban Decision Framework.
Evaluation is conducted exclusively on normative conformity and clarity of decision logic.
Step 4 — Institutional Deliberation
Based on the evaluation, the Certification Committee may decide to:
-
grant certification;
-
request clarifications or adjustments;
-
deny certification with documented justification.
Deliberation is institutional and independent.
Certification is not influenced by fees, affiliations or external interests.
Step 5 — Certification Issuance
Upon approval:
-
certification is formally issued;
-
the professional is registered as an IVEXSI Certified Planning Professional (IVEXSI-CPP);
-
use of the certification designation and seal is granted in accordance with institutional rules.
Certification does not authorize project approval, execution or regulatory representation.
Step 6 — Validity and Maintenance
Certification is valid for a defined period and subject to:
-
adherence to IVEXSI ethical principles;
-
compliance with normative updates;
-
absence of misuse or misrepresentation.
Renewal or maintenance requirements are defined institutionally.
At the end of the process, once the professional is approved, they will receive an official certification seal valid for a period of three (3) years. The seal:
